BIAC currently has no vacancies.
Internships
BIAC is accepting applications for internships in
January 2011 in its Paris office. Internships are for a period of three to six months.
Only full-time students who can benefit from a Memorandum of Agreement
between their releasing institution and BIAC will be eligible for the
internship. Areas of study must be directly related to the
BIAC's programme of work.
Candidates should have finished an undergraduate degree as minimum
preference is given to students currently enrolled in a Masters Degree
program -- and be available for the full internship period. In return,
interns will be integrated into a close-knit office of 9 full time
staff from different nationalities (working language is English) and
work in an international business and diplomatic environment, with the
OECD as its partner.
Job responsibilities will focus on assisting BIAC Policy Managers in
different aspects of their work including:

Background research on policy topics

Contacting and maintaining business network involved in different
committees
-
Assisting in organisation and preparation of meetings
-
Attending OECD meetings with or in replacement of BIAC Policy
Manager

Contributing to writing and editing of policy documents
-
Assisting with meeting summary records
Desired candidate must:
-
Be, in principle, nationals of a
BIAC member
country

Be fluent in English (written and spoken)

Have basic knowledge of French
-
Have a strong general interest in international
relations/business/diplomacy
-
Have interest and/or experience in one or several
policy areas dealt with by BIAC
-
Have positive, flexible attitude and be ready to do a range of tasks
The BIAC internships offer a modest stipend and can provide candidates with valuable experience, references and contacts useful for their future career in the OECD, other international organisations or international business associations.
