BIAC names new Executive Board at its annual meeting
At its 3 June Meeting of the General Assembly, the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC) moved unanimously to name
Mr. Niels Nordgaard (Denmark), Mr. Randolf Rodenstock (Germany) and
Mr. Ricardo González Sada (Mexico) as new Vice Chairmen of its Executive Board replacing long-serving members
Mr. Erik Belfrage (Sweden), Dr. Ludolf von Wartenberg (Germany) and
Mr. George Addy (Canada). At the same time, BIAC congratulated Mr. Belfrage, Dr. von Wartenberg and Mr. Addy for their great commitment and valuable contribution to OECD business during their tenure on the BIAC Executive Board.
In addition to the three new members, existing BIAC Chairman
Mr. Charles Heeter (United States) and Vice Chairmen
Mr. Guy de Panafieu (France), Dr. Bruno Lamborghini
(Italy), Mr. Keikichi Honda (Japan) and
Mr. Jin Roy Ryu (Korea) were unanimously re-elected to the BIAC Board, with all eight Board members receiving two-year mandates.
Mr. Nordgaard, Senior Vice President of Danisco Sugar A/S, is currently the chairman of the BIAC Food and Agriculture Committee. In addition to his services to BIAC, Mr. Nordgaard holds a number of other positions including being the Chairman of IFAU, the Vice Chairman of the Advisory Group on Sugar of the European Commission and member of the Supervisory Board of companies associated to Danisco Sugar A/S. Before joining Danisco, Mr. Nordgaard was the private secretary to the Danish Minister of Agriculture and served the Danish government at the OECD in Paris. Mr. Niels Nordgaard holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
Mr. Rodenstock is a Managing Partner of Optische Werke G. Rodenstock GmbH
& Co. KG and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Rodenstock Group. He currently holds senior leadership positions at both of BIAC’s German member organisations, Vice President of the Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbnde (BDA) Board and a member of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V. (BDI) Board. He is experienced in acting on behalf of organized business at both national, European and global level. Mr. Randolf Rodenstock is a graduate physicist and holds an INSEAD MBA.
Mr. González Sada is the Chairman of COPARMEX and the Vice-Chairman of the Mexican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Council of several other organizations, such as the Mexican Red Cross, the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and the TechMilenio University, among others. He obtained his degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and a MBA from the Universidad de Navarra in Barcelona, Spain.
